“Naysayers take note: Gwen Stefani may be rich and is no longer “just an Orange County Girl,” but Friday at the Gibson Amphitheatre she proved she could still put on a pretty damn good show.

When Stefani brought her first solo tour to the Hollywood Bowl in fall 2005, it was an undisputed smash, proving that the No Doubt frontwoman had the goods to be the Madonna of the new millennium. In the year and a half since, she became a mother, released her second solo album (”The Sweet Escape”) to mixed reviews and has faced a critical backlash questioning her integrity.

None of that mattered much during Stefani’s 90-minute set Friday, since the hipper-than-thou No Doubt fans that have accused her of selling out likely were at Coachella. And it’s just as well because Stefani has moved on from the modern rock KROQ crowd to the more mainstream confines of contemporary hit radio, which seems content to let her reminisce about her life before fame without calling her out for being dishonest.”

Sources at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles confirm to Us that Gwen Stefani gave birth to a baby boy shortly before 1 p.m. on Friday. After the C-section delivery, Stefani’s husband, Gavin Rossdale, and Stefani’s father walked out of the operating room and greeted waiting family in a private room. Rossdale announced that the baby had been born and the entire room started screaming and clapping. Sources say the rocker parents are considering calling him Kingston, or “King” for short.

Gwen has blamed her recent lack lustre tour performances on having to keep her pregnancy secret.

Gwen found out she was expecting her first child with Bush singer Gavin Rossdale just before she hit the road, but kept the news a secret.

She confesses, “I found out I was pregnant right before I went on tour and I was like, ‘No, I have nine costume changes and high heels and bathing suits.’

“All I could think of was being on the tour and being pregnant but not being able to tell everyone and not really feeling like myself.

“I just wanted to say, ‘You don’t understand, I am really sick, and wanting to be like, ‘You guys, you don’t understand…’ I was four-and-a-half months pregnant the last show. It was a little bit ridiculous.”

OK, so you’ve got to be like over 50 to win a grammy these days, but doesn’t she look good!

Gwen has reportedly forked out £13,000 in a single shopping trip to trendy London boutique, Elias & Grace.

An onlooker told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “It was an incredible haul of gear. Gwen loved the Petit Bateau kids clothes.

“She took pretty much the whole range in various ages. But she gave nothing away when it came to the baby’s sex because she got everything in neutral colours.”

Gwen is due to give birth in June.

Gwen still bears a grudge against the boy she shared her first kiss with on a family trip - because he failed to keep in touch.

Apparently Gwen secretly hopes her one-time boyfriend, Brad, regrets ignoring her letters - now she’s a pop superstar.

She says, “I was in the ninth grade, and I kissed this boy - Brad. I didn’t even know his last name.”

“It was on a family trip to Catalina Island in California. We kissed on the beach, and I remember thinking, ‘Oh my God, this is so weird. I can feel his braces!’

“My family left the next day. I wrote to him three times but he never wrote back.”
